Natural fill quilts provide three times the heat per ounce of synthetic quilts. This means that a down quilt is lighter, and also warmer.
Down has the ability to trap air between its filaments. This trapped air gives the quilt its volume and lightness. Synthetic duvets, on the other hand, offer a "flattening" and are heavier.
Down is much stronger than synthetic fibers and therefore a down comforter will last longer. It is a long-term investment.
Synthetic fibers tend to solidify over time, leaving empty spots (no padding), which are known as "cold spots." The down, on the other hand, remains continuously evenly distributed and preserves the loft.
Because the feather is a natural fiber, it has the ability to breathe and absorb humidity from the body, preventing the overheating (burning sensation) that often occurs with synthetic fibers.
How is the feather processed for its use?
The feather that we use to make all our products are processed with the highest international quality standards.
The cleaning and sanitizing process includes two pre-washes, two full washes with specially formulated detergents, and multiple rinses. This is followed by drying and high pressure steam sterilization at 130 ° C for at least 30 minutes.

Each batch is tested to determine that the oxygen rating (organic cleanliness) conforms to international standards.
And the environment?
Unlike synthetic fibers made from petroleum products, feathers and down do not deplete the earth's natural resources.
The feather is a 100% renewable resource. They are a by-product of the duck and goose meat industry, rather than being discarded or used to produce fertilizer.
Wild birds are not observed in the production of these products.
